Homer to Anchorage

We had just a short drive (122 miles) up the highway to Anchorage today.  When we left Homer our pesky leveling jack in the right rear decided that it didn’t want to make the drive in the up position.  A red light comes on and we needed to pull over to resolve the problem.  All it takes is some persuasion by an appropriate sized lever and it goes right back up.  Problem solved and we were on our way.

Not too far from Anchorage we stopped at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.  One of those places that rehabilitate wildlife and reintroduces rare species back into the wild.  They had moose, elk, musk ox, black bears and grizzlies, and even some woodland bison that had become nearly extinct.  An interesting place to stop.
