Bullwinkle Moose

The 4th of July we drove down the Glenn Highway to Palmer.  We stopped at two Glaciers along the way.  First were the Worthington Glacier and then the Matanuska Glacier.  (yes, the same name as the Ferry for those of you who caught it).

It was a long day and then we went to town for dinner.  Our first choice was closed for the 4th.  So we wound up driving around and finally found the Humdinger Pizza.  Actually it turned out to be very good.

On the way back Dave spotted a bull moose just off the roadway.  Our first up close and personal encounter with a moose.

Our fireworks display was a DVD of the show at Web Lake 2012.  Not like being there but still fun to watch.
